Hengye supplies custom HSS slitting blades for rewinding machines. Blade dimensions, mounting features and cutting geometry are specified for the machine’s slitting arrangement and the material being processed.
Surface protection requirements can be reviewed alongside the blade material, cleaning conditions and operating environment.
An inconsistent slit can result from edge wear, unsuitable blade geometry or an installation mismatch. Web tension, alignment and the condition of the opposing cutting surface can also affect the result.
A replacement blade should therefore be selected together with the cutting arrangement. Confirming the holder dimensions and blade position helps establish the correct installation specification.
The HSS grade and edge profile should suit the cutting method and web material. Shear slitting, razor slitting and other cutting arrangements may use different blade designs.
Where corrosion protection is required, specify the moisture exposure, cleaning agents and required treatment. The coating type, coated areas and final dimensions should be agreed before manufacture. This is particularly relevant where surface treatment affects mounting surfaces or the cutting edge.
