50–200 mm Curved Hook-Style Chopper Blade for Plastic, Film and Rubber Cutting

Curved Hook-Style Industrial Chopper Blade

This custom curved knife is designed for industrial cutting assemblies that require a hook-style profile. Hengye offers lengths of 50–200 mm and thicknesses of 0.5–10 mm, with mounting holes and the curved cutting profile produced to an approved drawing. Applications include plastic and film cutting, rubber trimming and packaging material slitting.

Why the Curved Profile Matters

A replacement knife must follow the cutting path and clearances of the original assembly. An incorrect radius, edge orientation or mounting position can change how material meets the edge and cause interference or incomplete cutting. Define the profile and mounting references together; overall length alone cannot establish fit.

Material and Surface Selection

Choose the steel grade with reference to abrasion, impact, corrosion exposure and the condition of the current knife. Surface treatments are optional specifications rather than features supplied on every blade. Identify adhesive or rubber buildup and cleaning conditions when requesting a coating so that the proposed combination can be reviewed.

Application Review

For plastic film and packaging materials, specify material thickness and how the workpiece is supported. For rubber trimming, include the rubber type and section being removed. Chopping or shredding applications require the cutting motion and expected load to be checked against the blade geometry. Food-processing use requires a separate review of the selected material, coating and contact requirements.

How to Request a Replacement

  • Send a profile drawing showing curve radius, edge position, bevel and overall dimensions.
  • Include mounting-hole diameters, centers and reference surfaces.
  • State the machine model, material being cut and existing blade specification.
  • Identify wear, chipping or sticking observed in service, plus the required quantity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the hook shape be customized?

Yes. The contour, dimensions and mounting details can be made to your technical drawing, subject to specification review.

Does every material use the same hardness?

No. HRC 55–65 is a listed range. The target must be agreed for the selected grade and cutting conditions.

Is a coating included as standard?

Confirm the required surface treatment when ordering. The listed coatings are alternatives and must be checked for compatibility with the blade material and application.
